Frequently Asked Questions
I’M AFRAID I’M NOT READY
Most of our offerings are geared to take people from early and middle stage grief. Talk to Pamela on a free Assessment Interview call [scroll down to schedule below]. Pamela assesses every student applicant to make sure they are ready. It’s OK to be scared; change is scary. It’s also OK to not know yet. It’s quite common for people in grief to unsure of exactly what they want or need. Sometimes they only know they need something different than whatever else they’ve tried or something that feels easy and natural. Whatever you do, please get support for your grief.
I’M AFRAID IT’S GOING TO BE TOO EMOTIONAL OR UPSETTING OR TOO SAD
One of the basic tenants of Pamela’s Holistic Grief Coaching approach is the use of transformative exercises and techniques to help someone through the worst days and moments. A holistic approach addresses your emotions, your mind, your body, and your soul. Connecting [or reconnecting] all aspects of your life and the things that make you you is incredibly important, and is the core of finding life and love, and even joy again. Yes, it’s about grief and loss but ultimately it’s about finding ways to live your life after loss. Ignoring our emotions and our fears ultimately only makes them worse, so finding healthy, contained ways, to move feelings in a safe space is the way through to any type of growth or healing. Programs are not a substitute for any kind of one-on-one grief coaching or therapy, but it is an immense amount of support. That’s why we make sure to enroll people who are at a certain level of readiness. Oh, there will be tears and laughs, and major insights and ‘Ahas!’ Remember, though we never “fix” our grief, but we can learn to integrate it, and live abundant and happy lives incorporating our full range of feelings. So if you’re interested hop on a call with Pamela to see if a course or workshop works for you. Schedule your free Consultation Call with Pamela [click or scroll down to schedule].

Which Grief Programs and/or Workshops are right for me?
Grief Support Programs [Compassionate Care for Grievers & The Heart of Grieving Support for Grievers] are 3 months long immersive, group programs to help you through weeks and months of navigating grief and are the best way to manage a lot of the symptoms and issues that grief brings to life. These immersive programs also give you the foundation you need to self regulate and function around your grief again.
Group Workshops [1/2 day or 5 day] are like tuneups or nice intros to Pamela and her approach - with different options available. We are happy to help you decide the best direction for you. 3 MONTHS sounds like a very LONG TIME/ MY SCHEDULE
That’s an ironical thing about grief - time and space are altered when you’re stuck in trauma loops or the worst experiences of guilt, shame, regret, or unfinished business, and you end up trapped for years or decades unable to evolve, grow, or live fully again. That’s not good enough for you. Our aim is that you experience so much transformation from insight, validation, and expansion that 3 months are going to go by in a heartbeat. As Doctor Edith Eger [trauma therapist and grief expert] says “It is not the time but what you do with it that matters.” The funny thing about reinvention and transformation is that when you’re ready - you’re ready, and nothing can stop you from growing and changing. In fact, it becomes incredibly uncomfortable to not grow and change. We schedule Programs to be as convenient as possible for everyone to be on live but if you miss a class, they are all recorded. You are welcome, and in fact, encouraged to rewatch the videos and zoom calls, because we know that every time you rewatch them something new reveals itself.
WHAT IF I GET OVERWHELMED BY MY GRIEF IN THE Program?
Pamela says, “I can guarantee you will be moving some big feelings during a program. You might feel a little overwhelmed, but never alone. But part of the Program is learning transformative tools and techniques to help you with grief because grief never going to just go away. Learning how to navigate it, deal with it, and grow with it and from it - is a big part of the Programs.” Pamela keeps track of each student’s experience to make sure that they are able to stay the course. Because of the nature of grief and grieving, if a student is utterly overwhelmed at some point within the Programs and cannot keep up, it’s absolutely okay to talk to Pamela and step back and keep a credit to start up in a future cycle of the same Program. In addition to Pamela’s support, we find that the support of the entire group can help you move through more than what you thought you could. Having peers [even if their particular story of loss differs from yours] that understand what you’re going through is immensely supportive.
Programs are not a substitute for therapy or medical care. We schedule a private Program Interview with Pamela where she will be assessing whether or not you might benefit from a referral to a grief coach or a therapist as she is unable to single out any students who need more than what a group Program can deliver. That being said the community support and the transformative exercises and the validation that students get from Pamela’s Programs is what the same powerful she uses in her One-on-One Grief Coaching sessions and goes a long way in helping navigate grief. As human beings it’s essential that we find our tribe of support and growth - especially during trauma or the darkest of days of grief. As human beings our worst pain thrives in isolation. These programs offer you a balanced blend some One-on-One Grief Coaching with Pamela, live Zoom sessions, Q&A, group Supprt and ways to consciously navigate grief with Pamela’s powerful techniques, tools, and insights. The Program itself becomes a community of compassionate and supportive peers.
WHAT IF I AM IN GRIEF COACHING OR THERAPY ALREADY?
Perfect. Getting all the support you can is good self care. Pamela’s Compassionate Care for Grievers Program does not conflict with counseling, coaching, or therapy - in fact it builds on it. These Programs are not a substitute for medical care or therapy and should be misconstrued as medical advice.
I CAN’T AFFORD IT
I believe that transforming your life is the single most valuable thing you’ll ever do. And one thing is true - grief is a lifelong journey. You can grieve well or unwell, balanced or unbalanced, and there are some key aspects to working with your grief that help ease suffering and align you to handle life a little better.
Your NEXT STEP IS TO SCHEDULE A free “consultation call” CALL via THE SCHEDULE LINK BELOW.
On your Consultation Call with Pamela, we’ll go over:
· A little bit about your loss, your background, and where you are in your grief.
· What you’re looking to learn, grow into, and achieve through the classes, even if it just to ‘feel better’.
· Details on the The Heart of Grieving Support for Grievers modality and all details.
And, regardless of if you join the class or not, my hope is that you’ll leave the call feeling inspired to care for yourself and honor your grief in a more healthy and holistic way.
I look forward to connecting with you soon. And I am so sorry for your loss. Pamela
